 This story is dedicated to you, Evelyn. I hope by sharing with  you this story  that you will better understand why your mother gave you your  name?

After the land had separated from the waters,  God wanted something on the earth that will remind his children of him. So he created flowers and threw the seeds into the wind and the wind carried the seeds throughout the earth.  Now throughout the earth, there would be flowers, in whose beauty the children of God would be reminded of the Father. And the Lord gave to the flowers  perfume so that the children of the world would be reminded of Gods love , even when they could not see Him.

It came to pass that Adam and Eve had to leave the garden of Eden. Their heads were bowed with shame and guilt and their hearts were heavy with remorse, The Lord spoke to them, "In all your wanderings you will see flowers. In their beauty you will be reminded of my perfection. And in their smell you  can remember my love for you."  Their heads remained bowed as they listened. And the lord spoke  with a clear voice and asked "Do you know my favorite flower?".  And the lord went on to say "You, my children, are my favorite flowers because in you I see myself".  They did not understand and looked towards each other,  Eve was fearful when she saw the anger in Adam's face. And Adam saw her fear and knew he had made her wrong  and  forgave her  and saw her as she was once. And Eve saw Adams face soften and  they looked into one another's eyes and smiled. And the Lord knew that each had glimpsed of God in the others  eye. The lords heart was overflowing with hope for he knew they would find their way back to Eden. Adam then bent down to pick a flower and gave it to Eve and she smelled it. Eve bathed Adam in her love. And the first time since time since biting the apple they tasted happiness.  And God knew, that come the age of Aquarius it would be Eve teaching Adam of Gods love. So in Eve's memory got left a memory of Eden so together she might  lead them back.

Epilogue

"So Evelyn, now  do  you know from where your  name came from?".

 In your mother's clan the name of the first born girl  begins with the letter "E"." This goes back to "Eve" .The story goes that a descendant of Eve will lead the people of the world back to eden.  Beginning the end of separation I think to myself.

"Yeah my mom's name is Emily," said Evelyn

And your grandma's name is" Ellen". I add.

"and your great grandmas name is?" i pause and together we say "Eileen"  and laugh.

Lessons forgotten and  .Evelyn begins bragging about her garden. 

 " Do you hear the flowers when they talk?" I ask. 

"How can flowers talk they do not have mouths"

.Again we laughed together  like old friends.

 The seed has been planted. He will whisper in her ear and teach her during dream time.. Evelyn's road back to Eden has begun.

Historical note regarding the fall in Eden

The story of the separation as as told in the book of Genesis. is a  narrative written  to suite  the patriarchs  in power. who would not accept ownership  for leaving Eden.

The snake  did try to befriend Eve. But,  Eve in her innocence heard none of his words. . The snake seduced Adam  with the idea of being equal to God. Adam eventually  persuaded Eve to pick, the fruit  from the tree of knowledge and bring it to him.. Adam took the first bite and the process of separation begun.  Eve then noticed  adam had changed but she understood it not and  "knew" Adam was "leaving" Eden. In Eve's desire to be with Adam, she took a small bite from the apple.. For Eve, biting the apple  was  an act of love, not an act of disobedience. In either case she too had to leave..
